4 out of 5 stars A Curl up and read kind of book   September 27, 1999

If you're looking for a completely engrossing curl up and read on a cool fall day, kind of book, HOLD BACK TIME is for you. I was totally absorbed with the story because it has all the qualities that I look for in a story...adventure, mystery, and romance. Definitely a real page-turner to the end. I would recommend this book and will be watching for Allene Frances' next novel.

5 out of 5 stars Tenderness, tension, and excitement. I loved the dog.   September 24, 1999

This book reminded me of the old Victoria Holt, Phyliss Whitney books. Lots of foggy coast intrigue, it even had an old diary that revealed long hidden secrets. I hated for it to end.
