 Small price for a lot of features. July 12, 2008

This product isn't beefy in the features department by any means, but it does have just the right amount of features for the price. I still wonder how well it will animate a rather long video, but I have yet the patients to create one.br /br /Overall a great product for the price. I would strongly recommend owning a webcam for capture though, or if you have a little more budget a video camera hooked into your Firewire port would be best (Just more pricey and over-the-top for those younger animators out there).br /br /I'd recommend this to parents who have kids that show creativity and maybe play to many video games. Get them involved in projects like this that encourage productivity with real rewards!

I am new to the creation of animation. I have always been interested in claymation but was unsure how it came together. This product is user-friendly and intuitive. As I created simple animations I began to understand the product more. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in claymation.
Fun educational program for students February 11, 2008

I bought this program for my nephew who is a 5th grader. he was asking me to buy him a game console, but I thought this program would be fun and educational at the same time. However, he was not really into it initially, and I thought he might be too young to use this program. But I decided to show him what this program can do. I followed the instructions in the Quick Start Guide, and I set up a webcam and shot a few frames with his toys. I used his favorite wrestling toys and made a very short movie. After seeing the silly wrestling movie that I made, he wanted to try it himself. I visited him again about two weeks later, and I found out that he made about a dozen stop motion videos of his own. He's been bragging about his movies to his friends everyday, and now he and his friends are making their own movies together.
