Phonics Read Rhyme November 17, 2008 Really awful program. I only purchased it because the school also uses it. The Karoke section makes no sense and it says to play a song, but then none of the buttons are enabled to play one. I called tech support and they said this is the way it's supposed to work until the child accumulates tickets. My daughter accumulated all of the tickets, but it still doesn't play any songs in the clubhouse.
Buy your own mic. December 28, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
VAL is "Voice Activated Learning". The software comes with a microphone. Throw the thing away before you let your kids use it to play the game. My boys had to yell LOUDLY into the cheap mic to make it work. All of the noise was bothering me so I spent $9.99 at Target and got a better mic. The Target mic works a hundred times better but my kids still yell into the thing as if it were the cheap mic. Disregarding all of the noise, the games are fun and have kept my 5 1/2 year old sons entertained for minutes at a time.
Great Game December 18, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 6 year old daughter just loves this game. It comes with a small little microphone so that she can say the words and it actually tells her if she is right. Good for a first grader.
